Plasma 5.5 backports packages, latest as of date on Kubuntu 15.10, using DP1.2 screens in an MST chain. ![]() I don't know if it would be easy to fix this but it's really getting on my nerves, it's there since forever and it's one of those bugs I believe it should be right below the critical ones on the path to solve, since it completely messes with the User's experience.Ĭan confirm this issue, when resuming the panel from the bottom of "Laptop Screen" moves to the bottom of one of the two DP screens plugged in. I have more issues when using it with the mini Display Port (mDP), HDMI seems work a little bit better, although cycling through the different display options (single, extended, duplicate, etc.) usually crashes plasma and/or Kwin sometimes, either for both mDP and KWin. Also, it's quite frustrating when removing the cable from the monitor to go to a meeting and the start bar disappears and I have to do yet another plasmashell restart. Whatever it is the source of the issue, it seems a pretty straightforward bug to identify and reproduce, I can't understand how no one from the DEV team, didn't go crazy dealing with this issue, it completely kills productivity. ![]() Killing plasmashell works although sometimes I have to kill and restart it more than once, together with a "kwin_x11 -replace" and a "killall krunner & krunner" to have a fully working desktop again.
